Brandy was on her way to work that fateful morning traveling on County Road 289 in a small red 1999 Ford Escort, when she came over a hill passing through an intersection. Also coming up on that intersection was an employee of a local construction company driving his company van. It is alleged that the employee of the construction company was distracted by operating the company laptop that had been installed in his vehicle by his employers. The driver did not notice Brandy’s vehicle coming up over the hill, the driver attempted to short-cut the turn, causing his company van to be in Brandy’s lane of traffic as she came over the hill.
Brandy attempted to avoid the oncoming van, but the collision occurred anyway….Causing Brandy’s life and her family’s life to be forever changed.
